Effective July 12, 2026 · Version 2026-07-12
Welcome to Ouro. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Ouro ("Ouro," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Ouro personal-finance application, website, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Ouro is a personal tool for tracking your household's net worth, accounts, holdings, spending, and long-term financial projections. It is an informational and organizational tool only.
Ouro is not a financial advisor, investment advisor, broker-dealer, tax advisor, accountant, or fiduciary, and nothing in the Service is financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice. Projections, retirement scenarios, and any figures the Service displays are illustrative estimates based on assumptions and the data you provide — they are not guarantees of future results. Always do your own research and consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for your personal, non-commercial use in managing your own household's finances.
Access to Ouro is passwordless — you sign in with a one-time email code or a passkey. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and devices secure, for all activity that occurs under your account, and for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.
You may enter financial information into Ouro or import it from files and connected sources. You represent that you have the right to provide any data you add, and you are responsible for its accuracy. Ouro organizes and displays the data you give it; it does not independently verify balances, prices, or transactions.
You agree not to:
Your content. You retain all ownership of the financial data and other content you add to Ouro. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you.
Our content. The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Ouro and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service under these Terms. We do not claim ownership of your data.
Ouro relies on third parties — including cloud infrastructure providers and market-data sources — to deliver features such as security prices and account information. We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or practices of third-party services, and your use of any linked third-party service is subject to that party's own terms.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis and may be in an early or evolving state. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and we may perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts availability. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ouro disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any information it displays is accurate or complete. You use the Service, and rely on any information in it, at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ouro and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or financial outcomes, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ouro from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; you may request deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Each version is dated, and the current version is always available in the Service. If we make a material change, we will ask you to review and accept the updated Terms before you continue using the Service. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where your local law provides otherwise. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
